Megan will be a 2022 graduate of the Business Administration Program with a minor in Operations and Supply Management and two certificates: Lean Systems and Data Analytics. She is currently a Continuous Improvement intern at Magna Mirrors in Newaygo.
In regard to the OSM and lean curriculum, she writes, "The OSM and lean curriculum has prepared me for where I am today and where I want to go in the future! I started in the Operations and Supply Chain Management minor and found my love for lean through these classes. I find that the projects given to us in our lean courses allows us, as students, to apply our knowledge and training, and this has significantly impacted how prepared I feel to work in industry. The professors that teach in the OSM and lean program have also greatly influenced my career thus far by discussing my future and being great guides as I prepare for the workforce. Through all this guidance, training, and knowledge, I have been able to be hired into a great company and one of my dream positions."
Wow Megan! We are so happy to hear that the OSM/lean curriculum has led you to such great opportunities, even before graduation!
As far as advice for current OSM and lean students she writes, "My advice for future
and current OSM and lean students is to put full effort into the projects and assignments
given. This program cuts out the busy work, and all assignments are great tools for
the future. Another piece of advice is to get to know your professors by listening
to their stories, asking questions, and seeking guidance when needed, they are one
of the best assets to your success!"
Megan, we are so happy to hear that your current/past OSM and lean experiences at Ferris have already awarded you such great opportunities! We are excited to see what your future holds before and after graduation! Keep up the great work!
