The Event Management minor provides future meeting and event professionals with the skills and foundation of knowledge necessary to excel in this dynamic industry. Research, planning, promotion, and management of events requires education and training on market analysis, strategic design, negotiations and contract development, meeting and event service standards, project planning and execution, budget and financial management, event production and protocols, and experience delivery. The minor is enhanced with a 400-hour internship to drive skill development and expand the student’s professional network.

The Event Management minor complements any bachelor’s degree and can lead to diverse career opportunities such as:
