Digital Forensics Cybersecurity Minor

 

The Digital Forensics/Cybersecurity minor was created to increase the options available for Ferris State University students seeking to supplement their education in the field of security. Having a solid education in both the field of Criminal Justice and Digital Forensics, it is believed that all other Ferris State University students majoring in other areas will increase their employment opportunities. The minor is based upon combining two criminal justice courses with four courses in security, forensics, and fraud. The courses are designed for students to explore the concepts of information security from both historical and emerging perspectives. Topics include computer crime, mobile device forensics, as well as legal, ethical and professional issues, and the history and future of digital crime.
