Minor
Locations:
The Criminal Justice minor provides students with an academic foundation in the structure and function of the criminal justice system. Students may choose to pursue a general overview of the field or complete coursework that leads to Michigan Department of Corrections certification, preparing them for employment in correctional settings.
This minor pairs well with a variety of majors where knowledge of law, public safety, social systems, or human services can expand career opportunities. Graduates gain an understanding of criminal justice roles, responsibilities, and professional practices that support work in public agencies, community organizations, and justice-related environments.
