The Computer Information Technology minor provides students with practical, hands-on experience working with computer hardware, software, and networked systems. Students learn how to support and integrate technology within business and organizational environments, gaining foundational skills in system administration, technical support, networking, cybersecurity, and troubleshooting.

This minor complements a wide range of majors by preparing students for roles such as computer support specialist, help desk technician, network support technician, and system administrator. Coursework is designed to align with widely recognized industry certifications, including CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux+, Project+, and Microsoft MCTS, making graduates stronger candidates in technology-driven workplaces.
