The Computer Information Systems minor provides students with practical skills in computing, data handling, and technology-based problem solving to strengthen their preparation for today’s technology-driven workplace. Students learn how organizations use information systems to manage operations, support decision-making, and improve efficiency, while gaining experience with software tools and business technology applications.

This minor complements a wide range of majors—including business, communications, health, and technical fields—by adding valuable skills that employers consistently seek. Graduates will be better prepared to work collaboratively, adapt to new technologies, and contribute to IT-informed projects across industries.
