Biography

Lauren Cavner Williams received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Michigan State University in May 2011. She went on to Graduate School at Michigan State University, earning a Master of Science in Mathematics in May 2013 and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education in December 2020. Lauren's research interests are student motivation at the collegiate level and interventions that are designed to positively influence student motivation and self-efficacy toward mathematics. Lauren has taught a variety of mathematics courses (as either a recitation instructor or sole instructor) including College Algebra, College Algebra and Trigonometry, Contemporary Mathematics, Math Analysis for Business, Calculus I and II, and Mathematics Education courses (both content and methods).
