Biography

I am a stubborn Swede. I'm curious, creative, and obsessive-compulsive. This combination of traits makes me an effective scientist and educator (and also gets me into no end of trouble). In addition to these roles, I am also integrally involved in the assessment of student learning and the revamping of the General Education program at Ferris State University. Specialties

I have an extensive background in the cultivation and characterization of anaerobic bacteria, bacterial genetics, bioinformatics, course assessment, computer programming, reproducible research methods, and online instruction.
