The annual spring seminar will be held on the Big Rapids campus on May 20th-21st. Additional details will be posted soon.
The College of Pharmacy building renovation will commence on December 17, 2018. With great anticipation, the faculty and staff have been organizing and preparing the rooms slated for the renovation. The first phase will include the infrastructure (the eastern end of the basement), converting PHR 201 into the new Dean's office and remodeling the entire first floor (east of the lobby). The estimated completion is the end of August in 2019.

On Friday, Sept. 29, the Pharmacy Class of 1967 returned to Ferris to accept their Golden Eagle Award and participate in the Homecoming festivities. The group reconnected over several meals, cheered on classmate Tom Cook in the Homecoming parade, who was honored with his wife Janice as Grand Marshals, and enjoyed many laughs sharing Ferris memories.
Dr. Qian Ding and Dr. Dane Shiltz co-authored A Multicenter Retrospective Analysis of Factors Associated with Apixaban-Related Bleeding in Hospitalized Patients with End-Stage Renal Disease on Hemodialysis in the Annals of Pharmacotherapy.
Dr. Miller's book, Prescription Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education was featured in an article on MLive. She described the book as an educational tool for healthcare professionals, providing important information about opioids, overdoses, and naloxone - the opioid overdose reversal agent.
Congratulations to Dr. Lindsey Westerhof for achieving first place in the 2017 ACCP Virtual Poster Symposium Ambulatory Care PRN Awards! Her research poster entitled "Current knowledge, attitudes, and barriers to implementation of expedited partner therapy (EPT): A survey of West Michigan community pharmacists" was a part of the Doctoral Project course.
Pharmacy alumnus Jeff Rowe received an Honorary Doctorate of Health Services during Spring 2017 Commencement. Jeff and his wife, Annette, a graduate of Ferris' College of Health Professions, provided leadership support for the renovation of the Hagerman Pharmacy Building and annual scholarships for students.
