CAPE

The Collaboration to Advance Pharmacy Enterprises

The Collaboration to Advance Pharmacy Enterprises (CAPE) was established in the Ferris State University College of Pharmacy in 2022. CAPE provides a space for faculty and students to gather, share ideas, and conduct collaborative research focused on outpatient care.

The Senior Director of CAPE is Dr. Michael Klepser, PharmD.

CHARM - Collaboration to Harmonize Antimicrobial Measures

Mission

Promote antimicrobial stewardship efforts by providing clinicians with current prescribing practices in a timely, standardized, and user-friendly format. 

Activities

Maintains relationships with health systems and health departments to collect and disseminate information regarding outpatient antibiotic use.

Enable pharmacy practice to allow patients to have equitable access to health care.

Worked to develop and pass SB 219 and developed It's Okay to Ask, a training program to improve pharmacist's skills in discussing sexual health.

Michigan Antibiotic Resistance Reduction Coalition
 

Mission

The Michigan Antibiotic Resistance Reduction Coalition (MARR) seeks to improve the use of antimicrobial agents in communities throughout the state of Michigan through the collaborative educational efforts of academic, government, and community partners.

Activities

MARR disseminates information about antibiotics and appropriate use, supports educational presentations for all ages led by MARR ambassadors, and provides printable and shareable resources for a variety of audiences. MARR also promotes dental antimicrobial stewardship opportunities.  Get started at www.Ferris.edu/MARR.

 Collaboration for Healthcare AI Transformation

Mission

Pioneer the advancement of healthcare education and research through the strategic integration of AI technologies. Foster innovation, scientific discovery and development of future healthcare professionals through the knowledgeable and responsible use of AI.

Activities

From investigation of perceptions of AI to development of a tool to be used on local servers, CHAT pursues both concepts and functional applications of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare fields and education.
