What support system or mentors did you have in college?
Family, faculty, advisors, tutors, staff, professional mentors, friends, and others.
What is something that you know now, that you wish you knew when you were in college?
I know the importance of seeking out mentors, academic, personal, social, and professional
resources and support.
What advice do you have for a first-generation college student pursuing a degree at
Ferris?
Here is my advice and two of my favorite quotes. Speak your goal into existence! Get
a picture of you and the goal in your mind! See it, and then say it, until you see
it! "If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants."
- Isaac Newton / "Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment
of it. No idleness; no laziness; no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what
you can do today. - Lord Chesterfield
