Top Five Resources for Off-Campus Students

Fall classes are right around the corner and we want to make sure you know about all the ways we can help you succeed this year. Here are five of our favorite Ferris resources that you can take advantage of without leaving home!

1. Reserve a Telepresence Robot

Our telepresence robots allow you to take classes at any of our 22 Ferris locations. Let's say you live in Lansing, but the Business Administration class you want to take is only offered in Traverse City. No problem! Contact the eLearning Team to reserve a robot to be your eyes and ears in the classroom. 

2. Schedule a Financial Aid virtual or Phone Appointment

Questions about loans? Curious about payment plans or tuition deadlines? Set up an appointment with a financial aid advisor and put your mind at ease.

3. Make an Online Writing Center Appointment

Get free one-on-one writing consultations anytime by virtually visiting the Ferris Writing Center. With convenient evening appointments and real-time online meetings, you can get feedback no matter where you're at.

4. Virtually Visit CLACS

You can now set up virtual and phone appointments with our experienced staff at the Center for Leadership, Activities and Career Services. Schedule a mock interview in your kitchen or plan a resume review during your lunch break. No matter what you need, CLACS can help! 

5. Sign Up for Text Alerts

The weather will start to get colder before we know it and you know what that means? There may be snow days in the future! Be the first to know by signing up for our Emergency Messaging System.

 

Remember, if you're a Ferris - Statewide or online student and you're also enrolled at your community college, you have access to all the resources both schools have to offer. Contact your local Ferris office or your local community college for specific information.
