Pickleball Leagues

Men's League - Mondays 7:00-9:00PM  

Dates:  October 28 -November 18, 2024 (4 Weeks)

Women's League - Tuesdays 6:30-8:30PM

Dates:  October 29 - November 19, 2024 (4 Weeks)

Divisions

• 2.5 (2.5-2.99)
• 3.0 (3.0-3.49)
• 3.5 (3.5- 3.99)
• 4.0+ (4.0 -4.49)

Playing level should be based upon your playing level at the time of registration

Format - Doubles Play

Sign up as a team with a fixed partner.  Teams can be 2-5 players, to allow for substitutions within a team.  All players must be the appropriate level of play for the division.  Each team must have a minimum of 2 players.

League is limited to 4 teams per division.  Total number of teams in a division may change based upon registrations and court availability.

Matches will be best 2 out of 3 games.  Games to 11 points, win by 2.  All scores will be recorded in DUPR, all players will need to have a DUPR account.

Registration

Registration deadline:   October 25, 2024 by 5 p.m. Prior registration is required, drop in play will not be allowed.

Each team will identify a team leader.  Team leader will send email to [email protected].  Email should include: division, team name, a full roster with names and phone numbers for all players

Payment

Full payment of the registration fee will be the responsibility of the team leader.  It will be up to the team leader to collect all fees from individual team players.  All fees must be paid prior to the league.

Cost

$60/Team

League Fee covers the full cost of the league.  

End of Seaso Wrap Up

December 3, 2024 - 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

For all players who participated in the Men's or Women's League.  We will have a pickleball play, potluck, and end of season awards.

Pickleball Open Play

Wednesdays 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Fridays 8:00-10:00 A.M.

Dates:  Septemeber 11 - December 18, 2024  

Please note, there will be no open play during university holiday closings and the week of October 20-27, 2024.

All levels of play are welcome during the open play sessions.   Lower level players are encouraged to start on tennis court number 1 and advanced players are encouraged to start play on tennis court number 4.

Players can self rate and play where they are most comfortable.  This is open play, so the levels of play will be mixed.

Rotation System

Players will choose the court they would like to play on and place their paddle in that court's paddle bin.  After each game, winners can stay and play with the same partner or they may decide to split with their partner and play with new players entering court.   Losing team  will leave the court and put their paddle back into the paddle bin.  Players next in line and waiting to play will rotate onto the next available court at games are completed.  Players must rotate off the court after 3 consecutive wins.  Players can play on any court they would like and rotate accordingly.

Pickleball DUPR Play

Thursdays 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Open to all players.  Players will be divided by level (DUPR Rating) and will play on designated courts with similar level players.  Players without a DUPR rating will be asked to initially self-rate until they establish a rating.  Play will be games to 11 points, win by 2 and rotating partners.   All scores will be recorded in DUPR.  The racquet facility staff will record scores at the end of each night.  Players must have a DUPR account.

Pickleball Round Robin Play

Saturdays 9:30-11:30 A.m.

Dates:  September 14 - December 14

Please note that due to PTM program, Ferris State Tennis Team, or other Racquet Facility events the Saturday Round Robin play may be cancelled periodically throughout the fall.

Round Robin play is open to all levels of play.  Play will be timed rounds of 10 minutes per round.  Players wil rotate partners each round.  All players are assigned a number upon check-in and rotation is based upon assigned number.  No prior registration is required, just show up.
