Facility Rental

In addition to the tennis courts, racquetball courts, and fitness spaces, the facility also has a classroom that provides a large space for group events. If you are interesting in renting courts, the fitness room, classroom, or the entire facility for your upcoming group event, please follow the steps below.

  1. Read the Racquet & Fitness Center Policies.
  2. Complete the Reservation Request Form.
  3. Sign the Facility Reservation Policy.
  4. Email the completed form and signed policy to Facility Manager, Amy Nestle at [email protected].
  5. Any minors that will be attending your event must bring a completed Minor Waiver form with them to use the facility.

  1. Student Group – FSU registered student organization with no admission charge or fees associated with the
  2. University Groups and Charging Student Groups – University departments with or without revenue associated with the event and FSU registered student organizations with admission charges or fees associated with the

University Group & Student Group (charging admission)

Tennis Courts (indoor) - $25/hr/court
Tennis Courts (outdoor) - $12/hr/court
Racquetball Room/Wallyball Room - $25/hr/court
Classroom - $20/hr
Fitness Room - $20/hr

Non-FSU Group

Tennis Courts (indoor) - $32/hr/court
Tennis Courts (outdoor) -$16/hr/court
Racquetball Room/Wallyball Room - $32/hr/court
Classroom - $30/hr
Fitness Room - $30/hr

All groups must pay staffing according to Racquet & Fitness Center staff pay standards.

  1. Staff hourly rate for opening the facility outside business hours.
  2. Set up & take down fees.
  3. Physical Plant services will be assessed at cost of tables and chairs rentals.
  4. A clean-up fee may be assessed for an excessive mess in the facility or with equipment rental/usage at a minimum charge of $25 and a maximum charge of the actual cost.
  5. Any damage to the facility/equipment will be charged to the organization or responsible person at a minimum charge of $25 and a maximum charge of the actual cost.
  6. Reservations will require payment two weeks before the event.

Policy/Procedures

SHIRT AND SHOES ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES

Ejection from the RQT:

The Racquet Facility has the right to eject immediately any person who:

1. Engages in actions that pose a significant risk or substantial harm to the health and safety of individuals or others.

2. Engages in actions which destroys property.

3. Engages in action which disrupt by physical or auditory means the ongoing operations or activites of the RQT.

4. Engages in action which violate any federal, state, or local law.

Refunds/Returned Checks

There are no refunds unless authorized by management. There will be a $30.00 service charge for returned checks.

Personal Trainers

All personal trainers must be employed by Ferris State University (Ferris Racquet and Fitness Center/University Recreation). Ferris State University holds the exclusive right to all personal training in the facility. Any personal trainers not employed by the Ferris facilities are not permitted to train clients in our facility. If we suspect tha you are training clients in out facility you may be asked to leave or have your fitness membership privileges revoked or suspended.
