RQT offers activities and amenities for tennis, racquetball, group fitness classes, weight training, and cardio training.
Our training room has 17 weight machines, a Cybex Modular Multi-Station, and Hoist Fitness Functional Training System. It also has 2 recumbent bikes, a Zero Runner, a Jacob's Ladder, 2 ellipticals, 2 lateral ellipticals, a Max Trainer, a ski erg, 2 rowers, and 2 treadmills. There is a 10 station weight training circuit that allows for a total body workout. Our new rubber floor weight room has free weights and benches. Our remodeled fitness room is 2,000 square feet of artificial turf which creates a functional space for you to get your own workout done or join in one of our many group fitness classes. The fitness room has bosu balls, stability pads, medicine balls, slam balls, stability balls, battle rope, weight sled, plyo boxes, aerobic steps, TRX, pull up bars, kettle bells, dumbbells, punching bag, jump rope, mats, and foam rollers.
Customers must wear a top that covers their midsection and rubber-soled shoes. No jeans, work-boots, or open-toed shoes allowed in the fitness areas. Facility management has the right to refuse inappropriate clothing.
We are not responsible for damage, loss or theft of any clothing or other personal property in the facility or parking lot. The facility will hold lost and found items for a period of up to a month if space allows, but the facility is not responsible for the return of any lost items. Please lock up your belongings.
Lockers can be rented for the semester at the front desk. You will provide your own locker for your rented locker. You may also use a locker on a daily basis but any locks left overnight that are not on rented lockers will be cut off and contents discarded.
Taking photos or filming of others is not permitted without their prior knowledge and consent, and under no circumstances is any photography or filming permitted within the locker room or sauna.
No, it is important that you always have your student ID. If you are unable to locate your ID, you may bring a photo ID along with your ID number.
Yes, the Racquet & Fitness Center is open to Ferris faculty and staff, as well as the public. If you do not have an active membership, you can pay $8 for a day pass. You will need to present a photo ID upon checking in at the front desk.
Management of the facility may suspend or cancel the rights or privileges of any individual whose actions are detrimental to the enjoyment of the facility by other customers or any conduct which in the opinion of the management is prejudicial to the welfare, good order, and character of the facility. Any inappropriate behavior i.e. profanity or yelling, incidental to the enjoyment of the facility by other customers may result in dismissal from the facility.
