Biography
I am trained as a pharmacotherapy specialist and have spent the majority of my career working in acute care medicine. I currently maintain a practice site at Trinity Health Grand Rapids (formerly Mercy Health Saint Mary's), where I work closely with the inpatient Academic Family Medicine service to help optimize patient care. I also spend time at the Kent County Health Department providing pharmacy support in the Tuberculosis Clinic.
In my role as Co-Curriculum Coordinator, I am responsible for ensuring that Ferris pharmacy students participate in activities outside of the classroom that help promote professional development and achievement of affective domain outcomes . In light of this, I strive to maintain a robust personal "co-curricular transcript" that has included service on the Western Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists (WMSHP), Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists (MSHP), and Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA) executive boards, participation in local and international community service, and attendance at several pharmacy- and teaching-related conferences each year.
