Secondary Glaucoma

This type of glaucoma typically occurs as a result of another disease or eye injury. It may also be due to inflammation, tumor certain medications (steroids), previous surgery or in advanced cases of cataract or diabetes. This form of glaucoma may be mild or severe. The type of treatment will depend on the type of glaucoma it is, whether it is open angle or angle closure glaucoma. The underlying problem must be treated.
