Digital Photography

Photography is used to document a patient s eye condition and follow it over time. Currently, we can take photographs of the anterior portion of the eye (everything in front of the pupil, including the lens) and the posterior portion of the eye (the retina and vitreous). All of the photographs are digitally stored on a computer and can be transferred electronically via e-mail to different health care providers (teleoptometry or Telemedicine) if the need arises.
