I attended the march with my mom and a close friend of the family. We boarded the bus on the night of the inauguration at 9 p.m., and we woke up in Washington, D.C., the next day.

It was beyond my wildest dreams. There were tons of people and there was such a sense of community there.

I met so many strangers who treated me like friends, and it gave me so much hope for our future. I realized there that we really can all come together to make our world better, and I was so excited to be able to see that firsthand.
