Proposal Process Overview

Costa Rica Crew

The Short-Term Faculty Led Study Abroad program proposal process begins with:

  • Discussing your program with your department and the Office of International Education in determining the program dates, courses and budget.
  • Submitting your proposal electronically to both the Office of International Education and to your Department Head for approval.

If you are planning a course for late fall or early winter, your proposals should be processed quickly so that we have time to adequately promote the opportunity to potential students. Please consult with the Education Abroad Coordinator, regarding program budgets before submission.

Please contact the Education Abroad Coordinator by calling (231) 591-2449 or by email at [email protected] to let us know whether you plan to propose a study abroad option and to set a time to meet about your plans and the desired support. Feel free to call with any questions or suggestions.

Complete information can be found in the Academic Affairs Study Abroad Policy Letter.
