An outline of the proposal process is as follows:
- Discuss your proposed program with your department and the Office of International Education (OIE) in regard to program dates, courses, and budget.
- Submit the completed Proposal Document to the head of your department for approval and the OIE in IRC 134, or email it to
- The OIE will contact you to set up a time for a Proposal Debrief to discuss the details of your proposal.
- After the proposal has been processed via the approval procedure, next steps include promoting your study abroad opportunity to potential students and following up with itinerary and planning.
