Digital Animation and Game Design International

At Ferris State University, we know that Digital Animation and Game Design (DAGD) is one of the hottest careers in the 21st Century. Our instructors teach the necessary skills to create dazzling 3D art and entertaining games that will help graduates break into the media industry. Using state of the art technology, professional grade software, and innovative teaching approaches, Ferris State University delivers the tools students need to succeed. The DAGD program at Ferris State was recently ranked 16th in the nation by the Princeton Review.

Admission requirements: GPA 2.5

ACT/SAT is not required but encouraged for course placement and scholarship eligibility.

Course pathway: Students are required to take 121 course credit hours, including both program specific and general education classes.

 

E3 College Game Competition: In June 2018, a team of Ferris State University Digital Animation and Game Design students traveled to the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angles to compete as a finalist in the College Game Competition. RAD, a student created game, competed as one on six finalists at this globally recognized, industry leading conference.

Careers: The DAGD program offers students the opportunity to actively compete in many growing industries such as: game design and asset creation, film, television, medical visualization, architectural flythroughs, legal simulation, web development, educational software, product design.

  • Mail official high school transcripts
  • Mail official bank statement that shows you have enough funds to study in the US ($34,600)
  • Report your English score to Ferris using the university code 1222 (TOEFL 61/IELTS 5.5) OR join the Intensive English Program before starting your academic program
  • Send a copy of passport

Scholarships: International and domestic students are awarded scholarships based on academic eligibility.  First-time students can receive between $1,500 and $12,630 per year based on grade point average and test scores (ACT, SAT). Transfer students can receive between $2,500 and $5,500 based on grade point average.

English Language: The English Proficiency Policies at Ferris State University offers conditional acceptance to ISI and all academic programs for students who need to first fulfill their language requirement.
