Infant Room

infantOur infant classroom is a safe, nurturing environment for children 4 weeks – 18 months old. The Early Learning Center maintains a small class size to support a consistent environment which fosters positive relationships with each child and family. We maintain to highest adult/child ratio in the area.  We believe small class sizes and consistent caregivers are the building blocks of a quality program.  Each teacher is assigned a primary group of children (up to 3) who is responsible for coordinating the child’s lesson plans, parent communication, and supporting their daily routines.  The primary teachers coordinate together to ensure the needs of all children are met each day.

The classroom environment is designed to provide children many opportunities to safely explore their surroundings with support from their teachers.  Lesson plans are designed daily for children by their primary group teacher using the HighScope curriculum to promote learning in all developmental areas (social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language). The infant classroom has flexible, yet consistent routines based on the needs of the individual children.
