Political Science Teaching Minor

 Minor

 Locations:

The Political Science Secondary Education Minor prepares students to teach political science classes at the high school level. Through courses such as PLSC 121 and PLSC 341, along with additional coursework in the minor, students build the skills needed to effectively teach and engage high school students in the study of government, political systems, and civic processes.

When paired with a secondary education major (not Political Science or Social Studies), students will be eligible to teach in more than one content area. This minor strengthens understanding of political institutions, policymaking, and civic engagement, preparing future educators to cultivate informed and active citizens in their classrooms.
