Who should use Ferris' design template system?
All users except for university design professionals and professional designers working under contract with the university are strongly encouraged to use the publication templates provided online by the Marketing Communications office through the DesignConductorTM system.
What are the benefits of using the template system?
Templates in this system are accessible to any user with a Web browser and do not require download of special fonts, software or graphic assets. Users cut and paste their chosen content into the system and modify it within the parameters provided by our office. Required content and university graphics are already embedded in the templates, eliminating the process of review and revision for compliance.
These features make the template system ideal for users who are not design professionals but need print-ready products that are compliant with university policy, and on a time frame that they control. Once our team approves your design in the system, the PDFs generated can be forwarded directly to the Copy Center for production.
