Dual Enrollment Courses and Programs

Start Here: Common First Dual Enrollment Courses

Many dual enrollment students begin with courses that satisfy general education requirements and apply to a wide range of college programs. These courses are commonly recommended because they build foundational academic skills and often transfer easily between institutions.

Common starting courses include:

  • ENGL 150 – English I
  • COMM 105 – Interpersonal Communication
  • PSYC 150 – Introduction to Psychology
  • SOCY 121 – Introductory Sociology
  • MATH 115 – Intermediate Algebra
  • STQM 260 – Introduction to Statistics

Many students begin with ENGL 150 or PSYC 150 as their first dual enrollment course.

Students should work with their high school counselor to confirm eligibility, placement requirements, and course availability.
