Next Steps for Graduating Seniors

Next Steps for Dual Enrolled Students Graduating from High School

If you completed dual enrollment courses through Ferris while in high school, congratulations on earning college credit. As you prepare for graduation, here are the next steps depending on where you plan to continue your education.

If You Plan to Attend Ferris State University

Even if you were previously enrolled as a dual enrollment student, you must apply for admission as a new freshman after graduating from high school.

1. Submit a Freshman Application

Complete the Ferris freshman application for admission.

2. Register for New Student Orientation

Orientation will connect you with academic advisors, help you plan your course schedule, and introduce you to campus resources.

3. Apply for Scholarships

Former dual enrollment students may be eligible for the FerrisNext Scholarship. Be sure to review available freshman scholarships and submit applications early.

4. Apply for Housing and Dining

Students planning to live on campus should complete the housing application and select a meal plan.

If You Plan to Attend Another College or University

Ferris dual enrollment courses appear on an official Ferris transcript. If you enroll at another college or university after graduation, you will need to request that your Ferris transcript be sent to your new school for credit evaluation.
