What support system or mentors did you have in college?
It wasn’t until graduate school that I started to make strong connections with faculty
to build a network of support. That support structure helped a lot.
What is something that you know now, that you wish you knew when you were in college?
I wish I had known that it was ok not to know what I was doing or where to go to find
answers.
What advice do you have for a first-generation college student pursuing a degree at
Ferris?
Ask a lot of questions and ask for help. It is important to learn to advocate for
yourself.
