Associate of Applied Science

The Associates of Applied Science in HVACR Technology develops skills required to become an HVACR service technician, laboratory technician, system designer, or sales representative. Classroom curriculum and lab activities focus on mastery of abilities necessary for these roles, these include electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting, combustion analysis, HVAC controls, airflow testing, fabrication and system design. Prior experience in HVACR is not necessary; laboratory experiences and performance assessments ensure job readiness upon completion.

An emphasis on the commercial/industrial sector of the industry positions students for opportunities offering attractive wage and benefit packages after graduation. The HVACR industry has proven to be recession proof, and rising energy costs, air quality concerns, and developing technologies have amplified job opportunities and earning potential in recent years.
