Girls golf state preview: Westosha Central on verge of historic 3-peat
10/8/23 BLOX Digital
The Central High School girls golf team will attempt to capture a third consecutive
WIAA Division 1 girls golf state championship Monday and Tuesday at University Ridge
Golf Course in Madison, the home of the Badgers. Head coach Mark Olsen rewarded the
team with a Saturday off, and instead of partying it up, sitting around or simply
just doing nothing, Kylie Walker spent that time playing more golf. No wonder Walker
and her twin sister Katelyn are both headed to NCAA Division II Ferris State University,
thanks to recent verbal commitments, and the duo are perhaps the best tandem the state
has ever seen at the high school level. For Kylie, it’s not only about golf, of course.
“Ferris State has a pharmacy program that I’m interested in,” Kylie said. “And I love
the coach and the girls on the team. I’m excited to join them next fall and can’t
wait to see the program progress in the near future.”

at two-time defending WIAA Division 1 state champion Westosha Central learned of the
