Biography
Kim teaches multiple courses in the Health Administration Programs. Prior to coming to Ferris, she held various supervisory positions in the clinical laboratories of MyMichigan Health. She also taught as adjunct faculty in the Medical Laboratory Sciences program at Saginaw Valley State University. To keep current in healthcare, Kim volunteers her time with the local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), where she received the Regent's award in 2017, a Service award in 2021, and the Diversity, Equity, Belonging, and Inclusion award in 2022. Kim has served her local chapter of ACHE as a Board member, Program Committee member, and Chapter Treasurer (2021/2022). Kim has also volunteered for the Central Michigan Rural Health Network (2017-2021); her duties included chairing the Outreach Committee and serving on the Governance Committee. Lastly, Kim enjoys being a member of The Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), participating on the 2023/2024 Michigan Health Interoperability Virtual eLaboratory (MiHIVE) Steering Committee, and serving on Ferris State University's IRB Committee and Honors Council.
