Application Period for Clinical Programs

2025-2026 Application Opens Monday, February 2nd-16th, 2026

All students are required to submit an application for acceptance to their clinical program. This is a yearly application cycle for the upcoming academic year. To access the clinical application you must be either currently attending Ferris or admitted to a future semester. 

Submitting the Application

Click "Start Your Application" to complete the online application. You MUST be a current student or admitted to a future term to access the clinical application. Questions regarding your application to Ferris should be directed to Admissions@ferris.edu.

• Unofficial transcripts are required with the application if you have transfer classes that do not appear on your unofficial transcript in Ferris360.  Please submit a copy in .doc, .jpg, or .pdf format.
• If you have difficulty accessing the electronic application or receive an error message, please include those details along with your name and student ID number in an email to CHP@Ferris.edu

CHP Competitive Program Entry

Competitive seats are available for the Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Radiography program. Up to 25% of the seats accepted each year are available for competitive entry.

Competitive Seat Qualifications

To qualify for a competitive seat, you must meet all of the following requirements.

• Earned a minimum 3.70 GPA at Ferris State University
• Completed all qualifying courses for the clinical program with no repeats at time of application.
• Earned a minimum 3.50 GPA in all qualifying courses (see 2nd page of application).
• Declared the clinical concentration by the semester prior to the application cycle.
• Nursing and Dental Hygiene students must have completed at least 24 credit hours at Ferris State University.
• Radiography and Diagnostic Medical Sonography students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at Ferris State University.

Competitive Seat Application Process

1. Submit your regular electronic application (above) to the clinical program.
2. Complete the competitive seat application for your program and email it to CHP@Ferris.edu during the application timeline (February 2-16, 2026). Competitive applications for 2026 will be available on February 2, 2026.
