As you may already know, Public Health is an incredibly versatile and exciting field! With a minor in Public Health, you will be equipped with a strong and comprehensive understanding of the healthcare needs, challenges and priorities of the population that will nicely complement a wide variety of health or other service–oriented professions. Examples of majors that can be significantly enhanced with the Public health minor include but are not limited to Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Pharmacy, Medicine, Dentistry, Health Care Systems Administration, Business and Social Work, As the importance of Public Health is becoming increasingly appreciated in the U.S. and globally, employment opportunities in this field are growing faster than average, with a projected growth of up to 27% in the next 8 years! If you are interested in learning more about preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting health at the local, state, national and/or international levels, a Public Health minor may be right for you!
