Jerena retired in 2003 from Ferris and joined the Emeriti Board in 2011.
Jerena is the Associate Pastor at the United Church in Big Rapids. She is also very involved in the Big Rapids community serving on the board of the Festival of the Arts, serves as the financial secretary for both STAGEM and the Tuba Bach Chamber Music Festival and participates in numerous other community activities.
