Maggie Walcott

Maggie Walcott joined the President’s Office in December of 2016. She is the administrative assistant for the Executive Office and composes much of the correspondence. She is responsible for preparing documents, maintaining records for the office, planning and preparing events, updating the Presidential online calendar, handling office purchases and supervising student employees. Maggie also handles certain Governmental Relations duties. As a Notary Public she provides a free public service to many employees and students.

Maggie earned her bachelor’s degree in Physical Anthropology from Michigan State University in 2002 and a creative writing certificate from Ferris State University in 2020. She is a member of the Ferris Liaison Committee for Students with Disabilities, the Timme Building Emergency Committee, the Bulldog Basic Needs Alliance, and has mentored three students within the Ferris Youth Initiative program. She was awarded the university’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Social Justice Award in 2019 for her disability advocacy work
