Karen Huisman
Secretary to the Board and Administrative Assistant to the President
Karen assists the President and Board of Trustees Chair with development and preparation of Board and Committee materials and assists with liaison activities between the Trustees and a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Karen provides information on the policies, practices and procedures of the Board of Trustees and the University. She supplies the clerical support to the Board and Trustees-appointed committees and administers the Board of Trustees office budget and financial records. An extremely well-organized and articulate professional, Karen also researches information, plans and prepares communications such as reports, resolutions and correspondence.
Karen received an associate degree in Accountancy from Ferris State University and a bachelor's degree in Management from the University of Phoenix.
