The 38th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

January 15-18, 2024

The Office of Multicultural Student Services invites all members of our campus community to join us for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Student Choir Performance

Ferris student choir, led by Taylor Spidell, sang gospel songs related to the civil rights movement of the 1960s. A short film, "A Man for This Season," was also shown.

MLK Guest Speaker, 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm in BUS 111

Guest speaker, Sybrina Fulton, led a moderated conversation and Q&A on the topic of From Pain to Purpose: The Time is Now to Own Democracy.

Martin Luther King Jr./ Black history/ Ferris Black history trivia night and student recognition. 

A night full of fun and trivia was had as the Ferris community closed out the MLK week celebration. A number of students were also recognized for their social justice activism.
