Spring 2023 Grad Fair is set for Tuesday, March 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Ferris
State University’s David L. Eisler Ballrooms, providing a one-stop-shop to prepare
for Commencement ceremonies and life as Bulldog alumni.
A cross-section of campus and professional representatives will engage Ferris State University students preparing for Spring 2023 commencement at Graduation Fair on Tuesday, March 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the David L. Eisler Center ballrooms.
Director of Alumni Relations Brandi Behrenwald said her department enjoys the contributions from these university peers and industry partners in a “one-stop-shop” presentation for soon-to-be graduates.
“There will be a variety of staff ready to discuss and assure that all necessary commencement details are confirmed,” Behrenwald said. “Most university colleges will be represented at Grad Fair. Special attention is available to international and multicultural students. We also see this as a young alumni event, providing drawings for alumni gear and other prizes to all who visit, along with the chance to learn about benefits enjoyed by every Alumni Association member.”
Graduation photos, “thank you” video messages to air in commencement ceremonies and Print Services staff will be in place for announcement and job-related communications.
“We placed emphasis on an engaging, enjoyable environment, with music and snacks for those joining us,” Behrenwald said. “The business of preparing for commencement can be done without attending. We want to offer them the Grad fair experience to celebrate their successes.”
Caps and gowns can be purchased, and securing tickets for commencement is another activity to take up at the fair. Behrenwald said University Advancement and Marketing peers continue their cooperation in a fun event that can provide prizes while adding to the commencement experience.
“Our News Services office is again sponsoring the Commencement Cap Challenge. We will have decoration supplies and workstations during the fair in the David L. Eisler Center lobby,” Behrenwald said. “Those materials and entering the contest to be considered for prizes are both opportunities provided free of charge.”
Support of this event remains a tradition for businesses who have partnered with Alumni Relations at Ferris for many years.
“It is a truly collaborative event, with our staff having vendor relationships with Herff Jones, who offer graduation rings or other regalia and Liberty Mutual, with their insurance options and financial planning,” Behrenwald said. “We want the students’ final weeks and years to come as alumni to begin in a pleasant and welcoming environment, and our team delivers at every fair.”
