Bogardus Brings Wealth of Experience, Energy to New Role as Director of Dining Services at Ferris State University

Ferris State University Dining Services welcomes Rebecca (Becca) Bogardus as its new director in mid-July. She brings 20-plus years of leadership and experience to oversee various campus dining facilities.

“I have worked in university dining operations in Indiana, Illinois and Colorado, and I am so excited to become part of the Ferris community in a beautiful part of the country,” Bogardus said. “What really came through during my interview process and visit to the campus was the level of engagement and positivity I felt from each acquaintance I made. It made me very much want to be part of the community.”

Ferris’ main dining facility, The Rock Café, is undergoing renovations during the summer and is due to reopen before the 2023-24 academic year. Bogardus said she looks forward to seeing how she can contribute to Dining Services’ continued emphasis on cleanliness, nutrition, and customer service. The Quad Café, inside the David L. Eisler Center, is operating this summer.

“I am very much looking forward to coming to Ferris, building relationships, supporting the university's efforts and helping to provide a pleasant and positive experience for everyone we serve,” Bogardus said. “That is the goal, the campus and all customers from the community who join us.”
