Spring Dawg Days April 15 to Welcome Large Audience of Prospective Students, Supporters

Dawg Days

A Dawg Days information session for prospective Ferris State University students and their supporters will be held Saturday, April 15, beginning at 9 a.m. in the David L. Eisler Center.

Admissions representatives expect nearly 200 high school-aged and transfer students and supporters to arrive at Ferris State University’s David L. Eisler Center on Saturday, April 15, for Dawg Days, an opportunity to become familiar with the campus, university resources and higher education opportunities.

Assistant Director of Orientation Emily Hicks said the staff expects 600-plus visitors for a program featuring a well-focused presentation during a four-hour schedule.

“After checking in at 9 a.m., our guests can meet faculty and academic program leaders at a resource fair in the Rankin Atrium,” Hicks said. “Various campus groups are also there to bring attention to their availability and desire to support these students in years to come. After this, there will be a presentation in the DEC ballroom on financial aid, a student panel to speak to the Ferris experience, campus tours and a meal for our guests to enjoy and meet other participants.”

Ferris student ambassadors lead the campus tours and provide information about the Ferris Library for Information, Technology and Education (FLITE), classroom buildings, university departments, residence halls, recreational facilities and more.
