Ferris State University ranks among some of the nation’s top colleges and universities, according to College Consensus. The website’s rating system considers publisher rankings, student reviews and tuition to highlight its top value institutions.

On the Best Value College of 2020 list, Ferris ranked fifth – in a top-five group with Brigham Young University, in Utah, first; Western Carolina University, in North Carolina, second; Dickinson State University, in North Dakota, third; and National Louis University, in Chicago, fourth. College Consensus factored in rankings from Forbes, Money, U.S. News and World Report, the Wall Street Journal, Wallethub and Washington Monthly in its methodology. Student feedback and cost were further included in the rankings.

“We’re gratified to be highlighted with other high-caliber universities. It’s indicative of the hard work of our students, faculty and staff. This recognition, compiled through comprehensive data that includes student feedback, speaks to the quality experience and value we strive to provide for our students,” said Jeanine Ward-Roof, vice president for Student Affairs. “While we’re proud of the work we’ve already done to create a positive environment for our students to thrive, we’re highly committed to keeping our current students on track to graduate with a Ferris degree and to welcoming future classes of students who strive for academic excellence.”

The rest of the College Consensus top 10 highlighted the University of Minnesota-Crookston, at six; Michigan-based Lake Superior State University, at seven; North Dakota State University, at eight; Missouri-based Truman State University, at nine; and CUNY City College, in New York City, at 10.
