Students who have participated in the College Board Advanced Placement Program (AP®) in their high school and who have taken AP examinations may earn academic credit for equivalent courses. A score of 3 or higher is required to earn credit. The amount of advanced standing credit is determined by the faculty in Ferris State University college in which the subject area is offered.
Credit granted on the basis of an advanced placement test is entered on a student's record without a grade and is not included in the computation of the Ferris grade point average (GPA) or graduation honors. Once AP credit for a given course has been awarded, a student may not subsequently enroll in that course and receive a grade.
