Ferris State University has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to provide the service of secure online ordering. Safe, fast, and easy-it is the most efficient way to order your official transcript.
Transcripts can be ordered online, 24/7 through the National Student Clearinghouse. The site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. With a valid credit card, you can order multiple transcripts to be sent to various recipients. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed. All charges are non-refundable. Order updates are available via text message and email.
All students who have attended since 1990 will have a MyFSU account where they can login and order transcripts. If you require assistance with sign-on, or re-activating your MyFSU account, please contact Information Technology Services at 877-779-4822. Once logged in, select the Student tab and click the My Records icon. You will want to select the Transcripts and Enrollment Verification link from the left hand side, under Grades & Transcripts. This will take you directly to the NSC, where you can enter your online request for transcripts from Ferris State University.
Former students can also request transcripts online by going directly to the National Student Clearinghouse. If you need help or have questions about the NSC transcript ordering service, contact them via email at [email protected] or by phone at 703-742-7791
The cost of a transcript is $5.00 per copy. There may be additional cost depending on the order and delivery method you choose. Below are the options available:
A secure link is delivered to the recipient’s email address within an hour (additional time may be required for students who attended prior to 1990). It is the responsibility of the transcript requester to verify that the recipient will accept delivery of an Electronic PDF transcript. Electronic transcripts are available (maximum of 3 downloads per transcript) for 30 days from the date of issue.
The secure NSC Electronic Transcript Exchange (ETX) is only available if the recipient participates in this service. If the recipient participates, this will be the only option available for the delivery method. If the recipient does not participate, this option is not available.
Transcripts delivered by mail are sent first class U.S. mail. Express delivery is available for an additional cost (varies by destination).
Transcripts ordered on weekends or holidays will be available the following business day.
Regular processing time is within two business days of receiving your request. Transcripts are mailed via first class U.S. mail. Express delivery is available for an additional cost (varies by destination).
If you are ordering your transcript online, you may request up to three documents be sent with your Ferris transcripts. These documents must be in pdf, doc, docx, or jpg formats, and upon review, we reserve the right not to include certain documents with your transcripts. We do not assume responsibility regarding the legibility of your document.
You may send the following documents (Max. 3):
No other documents will be sent with your transcript.
Transcripts sent via email or electronic exchange are typically delivered within an hour (additional time may be required for students who attended prior to 1990). When you choose one of these options you will receive email notifications when your transcript is sent and retrieved.
Transcripts sent via first class U.S. mail are typically in the mail within two business days of receiving your request. Express delivery is available. We use Federal Express next day service. USPS Postal Express would be used for PO Boxes but should be delivered within one to two days. Orders received after 12pm (noon) EST, on weekends or holidays will be mailed the following business day.
Ferris State University offers official pdf and electronic exchange (ETX) transcripts that are typically delivered within an hour of your order. Transcripts are only released when all financial obligations to Ferris State University have been met. No business is conducted on days when Ferris is closed - weekends, holidays and the time between Christmas and New Year's. Please plan accordingly or order online using the pdf or ETX delivery option.
Unofficial transcripts are available at no cost and are intended for personal use and reference; they do not contain the Ferris seal, address, or the Registrar’s signature. We will not send unofficial transcripts.
If you have been a student since 1990 you may print your own Unofficial Academic Transcript on MyFSU. If you require assistance with sign-on, or re-activating your MyFSU account, please contact Information Technology Services at 877-779-4822.
Former Students: With a valid picture ID, you can obtain a copy of your unofficial transcript at the Student Service Counter in the Timme Center for Student Services in Big Rapids, or at an off-campus site (Flint, Traverse City, or Grand Rapids).
We do all of our enrollment and graduation verifications through the National Student Clearinghouse.
Simply completing your final class or requirement for your degree does not mean it is instantaneously awarded. Please understand that it takes time to audit each and every student who is graduating and process them accordingly. Typically your degree will appear on your transcript within one month of graduation, and you should receive your diploma within 6 – 8 weeks. If you have a special situation where you need your degree posted sooner than this or you have not received your diploma in the mail, please contact your Dean’s Office.

If you are a current student you can view your assigned registration dates in MyFSU in the Academics and Services Tab, Registration Channel, Registration Status/Advisor Information link. Please ensure you choose the correct term for which you are trying to determine your registration date. This link will also show you any issues that may prevent the ability to register, for example, advising holds.
If you are a future student, your registration will typically take place one of two ways. First, if you are attending an on-campus Orientation, you will register for your classes as part of that Orientation. If you complete an online Orientation, you will typically schedule a meeting with an Educational Counselor or Advisor from your college. It is at that meeting where you will register for your classes.
You can find the Michigan Uniform Guest Application here. After completing Part I, please bring the form to the Student Services Center (Timme CSS) to have Part II completed.
The exam schedule can be found under MyRegistration within MyFSU.
