Cyber Security Summer Academic Camp

For high school students, aged 15 years and up.

Students in a classroom

Cybersecurity is one of the fastest growing and in-demand occupations in the world. Attend this camp and experience what it is like to be part of a cybersecurity team. Students will learn about and experience what professionals actually do in the cybersecurity occupation. Students will work together on many hands-on, fun activities such as responding to and investigating a cybercrime through the eyes of a digital forensic analyst, applying cryptography to decrypt hidden messages, analyzing images to determine the who, when and where related to a photo or video, experiencing how hackers crack passwords, and more! Students will play a virtual "capture the flag" game during the week where they complete cyber challenges, score points, and win prizes. Gain insights into what it is like to be a cyber investigator through the hands on tools and practice led by professors from our nationally recognized cybersecurity program.

A Student's Perspective of Camp

To be considered for a scholarship submit a 750-1000 word essay describing yourself, why you desire to attend the camp, and why you should be selected for the scholarship no later than June 6, 2021 to [email protected].
