Public Sale of Nick Offerman Tickets to Begin Monday, Sept. 18

Ferris State UniversityThe Ferris State University Homecoming Committee will begin a public sale of tickets on Monday morning, Sept. 18, for the Thursday, Sept. 28 performance by actor and comedian Nick Offerman.

Students were provided the opportunity, as of Tuesday, Sept. 5, to purchase single tickets for Offerman’s 8 p.m. show in Williams Auditorium. Nick Smith, the activities coordinator for the Center for Leadership, Activities and Career Services, said all remaining tickets will be on sale at the CLACS office from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, and anyone interested in the show is encouraged to make their purchases.

“Our students can still buy their individual ticket to attend the show, for $10, and can now purchase tickets, at $20 apiece, for any friends they would like to bring in, that night,” Smith said. “The public is welcome to join this audience with those tickets also being available for $20. We are expecting this performance, during Homecoming, will be a sellout.”

The CLACS office is located in the lower level of Ferris’ University Center building. Tickets can be purchased with cash or credit cards.

Offerman describes himself as a “humorist,” and will start his “Full Bush Comedy Tour” on Saturday, Sept. 30, in Missoula, Montana. The opening act for Offerman’s performance will be Ferris junior Logan Dunsmore, a Plastics and Polymer Engineering student, who won an Entertainment Unlimited comedy competition, on Saturday, Sept. 9, which was held in the University Center’s Rankin Lounge. Dunsmore said his routine is more story-based, rather than observational comedy.

“Stand-up comedy is my greatest passion, as I have been performing in Columbus, Ohio for the past three summers,” Dunsmore said. “This will be my biggest crowd, by far, and if I bomb, I’m transferring. Really, I’ve just always loved to make people laugh, and that’s all I have ever wanted to do.”

The show is one of the featured events for Homecoming, which begins Wednesday, Sept. 27 and continues through Saturday, Sept. 30. This year’s Homecoming theme is “Unleash Your Inner Dawg.”
