Student Government to Host 2014 W.I.L.L. Conference

Ferris State University Student Government will host the Women Investing in Leadership and Learning Conference on Wednesday, March 5 at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center in Big Rapids.

This year’s theme is “Inspiration, Motivation and Empowerment.” The conference begins at 6 p.m. with attendees being able to pick between three breakout sessions: Misrepresentation, Independence and Success, and Body and State of Mind.

“This year’s conference goals are to inspire women to live up to their potential and to set high goals for themselves,” said Yer Xiong, vice president of Student Government.

The breakout sessions are scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. The conference will also feature keynote speaker Tamara Gooch, chief executive officer of Pink Pearl, LLC. Gooch will speak on the roles of women in today’s society and how women can inspire themselves to achieve their goals.

The event is free and open to the public and will have light refreshments.
