Biography

I graduated from Ferris State University win 2010 with a bachelor's degree in nursing. Throughout my career as a BSN prepared nurse, I held many roles including Emergency Department nurse, process improvement engineer, ED nurse educator, informatics coordinator and nurse manager. Most of these roles were with promotion inside of the department I was working at (between Butterworth and Big Rapids/Reed City Hospitals). I returned to school in 2015 and completed my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2019, focusing on Adult/Older Adult medicine. I started as a nurse practitioner locally and worked for 4 years caring for people in the surrounding community. In 2023, I transitioned to a practice specializing in Geriatrics and continue to work as an NP seeing patients in Long Term Care and Sub acute rehab. I started with Ferris in 2025 as an adjunct professor, teaching clinical rotations. I eventually was hired as an assistant professor in the School of Nursing, starting January 2026.
