Applying early is always a good idea. We recommend you apply as soon as you know you're
interested. But you must apply at least one month before the beginning of the semester
you plan to enroll. If you're an international student, you should apply at least
six months in advance.

Choosing the right college is an important decision. That's why we encourage you to
visit KCAD and find out what it feels like to be a student here. Come alone, or bring a friend
or parent. Let us know you're coming and we'll set some time aside to show you around.
A visit is helpful but you don't have come to KCAD before you apply.
Not at all! You'll follow the same undergraduate application steps as anyone else.
Ferris State University is piloting a Test-Optional Admissions Consideration Program. This means that ACT/SAT test scores are NOT currently required for admissions consideration
to KCAD. However, some Woodbridge N Ferris Scholarship levels may require test scores be submitted to be awarded at certain levels.
Your grade point average (GPA) is the average of all grades you earned in a semester
or an academic term. You can calculate your GPA by dividing your grade points (4.0
for an "A", 3.0 for a "B", and so on) by the number of credits you attempted. If you
have questions about your high school GPA, talk to an academic advisor at your school.
A first-year student applicant must possess a GPA of 2.50 or higher or a GED. Applicants
to the Life Sciences and Pre-Medical Illustration program must possess a GPA of 3.2 or higher,
Credits earned at other colleges may count toward your degree at KCAD. For more information
