Communicating Through Conflict 

Learn about what conflict is and what causes it, how domestic violence plays into conflict, types of destructive conflict communication and how to avoid destructive conflict.  

Don’t Skip Consent 

Learn about what consent is and isn’t, why consent is important, the rules of consent when intoxication is involved, and how you can help impact our campus’ cultural views of consent.  

Burnout and Compassion Fatigue 

Learn about secondary trauma, vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout, understand the risk and protective factors when dealing with burnout, and learn new ways to take care of yourself.  

Neurobiology of Trauma 

Learn about what trauma is, what it means to be trauma-informed, and how trauma can impact someone.  

Navigating Rejection 

Learn about what rejection can look like, how to respond to rejection, how to cope with rejection, and how stalking plays into rejection.  

Overcoming Heartbreak 

Learn how to recognize when you are heartbroken, understand what resources are available to you, and learn ways to take care of yourself after heartbreak.

Learn how to be a supportive friend to someone who is experiencing domestic violence by understanding their perspective and knowing what to say and what not to say.

Learn about how sexual assault appears in popular culture in harmful ways through discussing scenes from Suicide Squad, Stranger Things, etc. 

Pop-Culture Series: Rape Culture 

Learn about rape culture in popular culture through discussing scenes from Rick and Morty, Star Wars, The Notebook, etc., see how sexual and domestic violence can be healthily portrayed in popular culture, and find out how you can help prevent rape culture.

Learn about how stalking appears in popular culture in harmful ways through discussing scenes from You, Stranger Things, etc.
