Description: | In this beginner-level course, all members of the community are invited to learn how to speak Spanish in an informal, non-credit mini-course called ¡Hablemos! (Let's Speak!) Throughout the 10 weeks of the course, students will learn about the Latino Community in Michigan, the Spanish-speaking World, Spanish pronunciation, as well as basic vocabulary and expressions useful for traveling or engaging with Spanish speakers. Topics include greetings, family, professions, basic medical Spanish, hobbies and common travel vocabulary. The course is sponsored by the Hispanic/Latino Cultural Center in collaboration with the faculty in the Spanish Unit in the Department of English, literature, and World Languages at Ferris State University. |

Description: | In this intermediate-level course, anyone with an already established basic knowledge of the language is invited to continue learning Spanish in an informal, non-credit mini-course called ¡Hablemos! (Let's Speak!) Throughout the 10 weeks of the course, students will learn about the Latino Community n Michigan, the Spanish-speaking World, as well as vocabulary and grammar useful for traveling or engaging with Spanish speakers. Topics include: present, past, and future tenses, medical Spanish, daily life, and themes common in every day conversation in the language. The course is sponsored by the Hispanic/Latino Cultural Center in collaboration with the faculty in the Spanish Unit in Department of English, Literature, and World Languages at Ferris State University. |
